Scripture shows a clear pattern. God delivered Israel. They celebrated a huge victory. Three days later they were grumbling. (Exodus 15:1-24)
Or often times the most humiliating defeat comes shortly after a major victory. (1 Kings 19:1-4)
But it doesn't have to be that way. In fact scripture makes it quite clear that victory it is to be the norm and not the exception.
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14.
Last week I wrote about the belt. I pointed out the fact that the enemy attempts to hit below the belt. He wants to make you feel cheap and dirty. I guess you when you feel cheap and dirty you succumb more easily.
It also seems like people who feel cheap and dirty want to bring everybody else down to their level.
The truth is that we are not cheap. Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:18,19.
Pastor Steven has been preaching a series of messages that he started off with Romans 12:1,2. It goes without saying that when the Word is preached it gets the enemy stirred up. Fortunately I've also been attending CBS regularly and I've got Charlie and Bill to keep me sharp.

3/13/12 LOL! This is getting to be seriously entertaining. I wonder if they are making a sequel to Big Trouble In Little China?
